Oz Island

Three boys from Northern Australia have created their own unique style that blends Indigenous Rock Reggae with a mix of Tropical Island Reggae, to create the band OZ ISLAND.

OZ ISLAND is made up of Geoffrey James from Beagle Bay, Japeth James from Maningrida & Fabian Cox originally from Perth. Ranging in age between 20 to 30, each naturally talented OZ ISLAND member is now trained musician through Perth’s Abmusic, having graduated from or finishing a Diploma in Music.

The band has strong musical connections with the lead singer Japheth James who has blood running through the Letterstick Band, Saltwater Band and its most famous member, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu.
